AIM OF THE ORIENTATION

The aim of this orientation is to enable you (the participants) to provide tutorial services on-line to students registered in your course unit(s) and have B.Ed materials converted to e-Learning.

 

This orientation is to enable you to:

 

  1. Understand learners/target groups for whom the course is intended,
  2. Understand teaching – learning system used in offering the courses,
  3. Recognize the purpose/role of tutoring in general,
  4. Recognize the general and specific roles of the tutor,
  5. Understand University of Nairobi Learning Portal,
  6. Undertake on-line content management,
  7. Use on-line strategies for discussion and group management,
  8. Undertake management of assignments and exercises on-line,
  9. Provide guidance and counseling on-line,
  10. Carry out your tutorial roles easily and effectively,
  11. Convert soft word form to e-Learning.
