Centre for open and distance learning has organized a joint writers workshop for Faculty of Arts, Schools of Economics, school of Law and CASELAP. A Joint Writer’s workshop for developing self instructional materials for later conversion to e-Learning for the programmes in the respective Schools, Centre and Faculty. The materials are for diversifying and enriching the delivery modes, increasing access to quality University education by distance, e-learning modes and increasing visibility of the University when uploaded on to the e-Learning portal. Developing self-instructional materials is in line with the University Performance Contract requirements of improving E-resources and approved in our Procurement Plan for 2014/2015. The workshop will involve 4 Deans and Directors, 47 writers, 2 Coordinators, 6 facilitators, 4 word processors, an ICT officer and 2 support staff who have been considered in developing the budget below. The workshop will be residential to enable the writers to work longer hours and have concentration for maximum production.
